How to Wear a Halter Top
Halter tops make a strong summer fashion statement and can be seen on the bodies of everyone from models in magazines to the forty something woman on the street. Where and how are the best places to wear a halter top?
Step
1
We've become a more casual society which makes wearing a halter top acceptable in more settings than in the past, but there are still situations where a top with a bit more material might be more appropriate. A halter top is a natural in situations such as the beach where exposed skin is the norm.Other situations where a halter top is appropriate attire include a summertime picnic, an outdoor party of grill, long summertime walks when it's warm outside, and pool parties.
Step
2
If you want to look great in your halter top, get a nice, even tan with no strap marks on both your front and back. Then lightly apply moisture cream to your shoulders and back with just a touch of bronze color. It helps if you've been working out with weights to give your shoulders and arms that lean, mean toned look.
Step
3
If you're going to a function such as a picnic or outdoor party, consider wearing your halter top with long pants as opposed to shorts. You don't want to be too overexposed and the impression you make will be much classier if you don't show too much skin at one time.
Step

Places where it may not be appropriate to wear a halter top include an office function, unless you wear a blazer over your halter top. I would also avoid wearing halter tops:
1. To restaurants where the air conditioning is on full blast. You'll feel like you're in a freezer with that much skin exposed.
2. On first
dates
. A halter top might be too much skin, too soon.
3. If you'll be doing any lifting or excessive movements. You don't want certain assets to peek out of your top when you're lifting a heavy object.
4. If you're out of shape in the upper body. (for obvious reasons).
